PJL Business Services Limited was formed in 2004 to meet a growing demand from companies for IT consultancy and business support services.  Both directors are qualified in Business and Management.

Paul Larner MBA

Paul's interest in IT and technology started back in the 1980s.  After studying Business & Finance, Paul embarked on a career in IT working with companies such as Snamprogetti and Psion.  With global insurer, AIG, Paul developed a number of world-leading systems for financial auditing.  At The Post Office, Paul led a complete transformation of the occupational health business around the use of IT.  The success of the business attracted strong interest, resulting in a £70m outsourcing deal with SchlumbergerSema.

Paul completed his MBA in 2004, and received a special award from the Chartered Management Institute.  By this time, Paul was working with a number of companies providing business consultancy.  Paul worked with RBS Insurance, heading up the IT for a division servicing the travel insurance market, and managed the transformation of systems to align with industry best practice and oversaw the consolidation of these systems with the RBS general insurance system.  Experienced in delivering high-availability 24x7 reliable IT systems, Paul worked with International SOS, the world's leading supplier of medical and security services to international companies, to transform the northern Europe IT division, manage the relocation of IT systems as part of the company's largest relocation, and undertook the due diligence and integration of several key acquisitions across Scandinavia.

Paul now works with a number of small and medium-sized companies using his experience and expertise to transform these businesses through the use of technological solutions.

Helen Larner BSc

Helen started her career in childcare, following the successful completion of a Norland diploma.  She spent many years caring for the children of different families internationally, before studying Business and the Environment.  Helen now undertakes specialist assignments for PJL Business Services, providing small businesses and private clients with essential business support.

PJL Business Services also works with a number of specialised companies to deliver specific support to meet the specialist needs of clients.
